1.
Hey Anne, I am, not going to hold you back Dress up, go out, show them your classic mouth Hey Anne, try understand One path exists but it don’t always fit Much like we chase some king of happy place Hey Anne, try understand All great dancers fall Hey Anne, I am, a very different man And you, what do, what do you say you are? Hey Anne, try understand All great dancers fall
2.
Ever sit upon an empty train never wishing to get off not even if the next stop’s paradise or the sweetest of sweethearts Empty train, empty train, the arrival of the empty train You take a dive into the river below And to those waving now you say hello before creeping through an unlit tunnel sculpted from the mountainside Empty train, empty train, the arrival of the empty train Now the journey’s almost over And the train is slowing down There’s no more places left to visit except perhaps maybe the one Empty train, empty train, the arrival of the empty train Empty train, empty train, won’t you join me on my empty train
3.
Domestic animals are all very well but not if you treat them, treat them like slaves. Domestic animals, domestic animals. Don’t be afraid to say you want out. Don’t be afraid to join another star filled circus. ‘cause tears they only last for a certain time. And tears they only come if you let them come. Domestic animals are unusually brave. They never spit or curse or ever think the worst. Domestic animals, domestic animals. Don’t be afraid to say you want out. Don’t be afraid to join another star filled circus. ‘cause tears they only last for a certain time. And tears they only come if you let them come.
4.
I take a hat and coat from your old clothes and where your reading glasses use to go I place the stem of a long red rose the beauty of which no one outgrows. The first anniversary blues, that’s all this is. The first anniversary blues. But for some rain that fell earlier It’s been a day to fill your lungs with air blowing across the south eastern pier itself a relic of a bygone year The first anniversary blues, that’s all this is. The first anniversary blues.
5.
I’m tired of hearing all these whispers about some man you’ve been seeing If I appear at your door holding a knife don’t be alarmed I’m just protecting what is mine now you’ve crossed over the blurred line I’m hardly going to thank you for the crazy cuckold you take me for Crazy cuckold, that’s what I am Please no flash bulbs, what did I say? What do you know about a snake? Only they crawl upon their belly A bit like you after I’m through Eyes for the dark, there’s nothing new I’m hardly going to thank you for the crazy cuckold you take me for Crazy cuckold, that’s what I am Please no flash bulbs, what did I say?

about

From the breezy opening bars of 'Hey Anne (All Great Dancers Fall)' reminiscent of Buddy Holly, through to the cautionary bluesy tale of 'Crazy Cuckold', the title track, The Harvest Ministers' new EP follows on from their Back to Harbour album released in 2017.
